How to explore new opportunities

Research plays an important role in developing practice ethos, demonstrating value in winning work and improving the design quality and performance of projects. It demands commitment – and resources – to gaining and applying new knowledge and finding more effective ways of approaching projects. Drawing on research with 17 practices across the UK, this Recovery Roadmap feature from Phase 3: Resilience explores how resilient practices approach and resource research projects, and how they use the knowledge and skills developed to expand into new services and markets.
